This song was inspired by the post-Vegas responses from politicians who voted against gun control measures. Every time there is a mass shooting, they trot out the same old tired "thoughts and prayers" response, which is sooooo much easier than standing up to the NRA.

What will it take to bring about meaningful gun control legislation? Something more disastrous than Las Vegas? How about another school shooting (like Parkdale, Florida 2/14/18)? Apparent not, because nothing has changed.
